We have decades of experience helping our clients create their ideal homes—often on challenging sites
Bellevue Residence, Bellevue, WA
A significant renovation and addition updated a small 1950s home to accommodate the family while staying in scale with the neighborhood. The transformation included gutting the house, changing the roofline, and bringing in lots of natural light to create a strong inside/outside connection. The upstairs is for adults – an open space ideal for entertaining. Downstairs is for all things kids with a family room, bedrooms, bathroom and laundry. Because the owner is a contractor, reclaimed lumber was selected from his construction yard. Unexpected benefit: the house so efficient to care for that the owners now have more spare time. Completed in 2013.
Lake Sammamish Residence, Sammamish, WA
Small living in a beautiful setting: property with sweeping views had limited buildable area. The 3-story 1300 square foot house sits on pin piles. The open floor plan maximizes views. Completed in 2009.
Lake Washington Residence, Mercer Island, WA
Located on a sloping waterfront lot on the east side of Mercer Island, the owner wanted a traditional home with high ceilings that made the most of the lake, mountain, and territorial vistas. The open floor plan allowed views from most areas of the home. The 5600 square foot house on 3 floors was completed in 2005.
Ocean View Residence, Hualalai, HI
A 5600 square foot home on the big island of Hawaii has 220 degree views of the ocean. The indoor and outdoor spaces flow together as they would in a traditional Hawaiian dwelling. Four bedrooms and a guest house; completed 2006.
